This Privacy Policy describes how Daven Lock ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Daven Lock mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Daven Lock is a Jewish prayer app that helps you build a daily tefillah habit by combining personal prayer journaling with optional Screen Time–based app blocking. The App is operated from the State of Florida, United States.

Creating an account is required to use the App. You can sign in with Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email code. Depending on the method, we receive your email address and, for Apple/Google, a unique account identifier. We also store your name and denomination if you provide them.
Text you write during the prayer flow, including your selected relationship, intentions, and reflections, along with the generated prayer text. This is saved to your account so it can be restored if you sign in on a new device or reinstall the App.
When you choose apps and categories to block using Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework, those selections are represented as opaque "tokens" issued by Apple. These stay on your device and are not part of your account.

Daven Lock is not directed at children. Creating an account requires providing an email address, so we ask that the App only be used by individuals who are permitted to create an account under the terms of the sign-in provider used (Apple, Google, or email). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account or provided us with information, contact us at davenlock.app@gmail.com and we will delete the account.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California), including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including TLS encryption for all network requests, opaque Apple-issued tokens for Family Controls (so even we cannot see which apps you selected), row-level access controls on our backend, and App Group sandboxing on your device. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, you understand that the data described above may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice in the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
